It’s Sunday morning, the time “fell back” last night and I think I might have caught up on a little sleep. My sleep has been restless lately. I mentioned on the podcast and in a previous post here on the Zone that I was considering sharing some writing prompts on here this month, no matter how personal. Some of these I’ll lock just for subscribers, some will be for anyone to read. I did a random search this morning online for prompts and picked the category Personal Journey. Here’s what came up.
1. Write about a moment in your life that changed the way you saw the world.
2. Don’t censor yourself and write about what you believe the meaning of life is.
3. Biggest struggle you’ve faced in life.
4. Your journey to finding yourself and all you’ve learned.
5. Life lessons you believe everyone should learn.
6. How you got to where you are in life and where you’ll go from here.
7. A tragedy you, unfortunately, lived through and how it has shaped you.
8. An internal struggle of yours and how you were able to solve it.
9. Your pet/s and what they mean to you.
10. How you were able to accomplish so much by a young age.
11. Your life and what lessons you learned that others should know.
12. What you’ve gained from networking throughout your life.
13. Your top life values and how they contribute to happiness and success.
14. Learning to live with something difficult or painful every day.
15. Write a memoir about your unique life.
16. A story to your younger self about life, love, and happiness.
17. Write about conflict in your life and how you managed to get through it.
18. Your life’s expectations versus its reality.
19. Art and how it can show you a lot about yourself.
20. A time when you thought all was lost.
21. Looking for the light in life instead of succumbing to darkness.
22. Your journey to understand what it means to truly be alive.
23. Write about how to conquer toxic desires.
24. Your journey through sports and how they shaped you.
25. Write about your journey to write and publish a book
As you can see, many of these would take a lot of time to write about them properly. For example, number 22 could be an entire book. Or at least a few journal entries. However, it is a very important question I think we should all ask ourselves. Stay tuned, my friends. I’m going to tackle number 8 on this list. If there’s something on this list you’d like me to write about here let me know down in the comments. If there’s something you’d like to share, write it and post it here as well. The Zone is for everyone.
