Supporting Taiwan Is the Right Thing To Do
I’m a couple days behind this news but I wanted to weigh in with my thoughts on Nancy Pelosi, of all people, rattling China’s cage by stopping in Taiwan on her Asian visit. For those who don’t know, China is a real pain in the ass. Well, the tyrannical political system, the Chinese Communist Party, to be more specific. I feel bad for anyone having to live under any communist system.
Those regimes have little concern for the value of human life and have no tolerance for things such as the freedom of speech, thought, or religion. If you’re a young man growing up in China and have dreams of being a business owner, or an actor, artist, or famous athlete, sorry about your luck, fella. You’re going to shut up and do exactly as you’re told. And if you think you’d like to try that little thing called freedom, well…just look no further than Tiananmen Square. The Chinese Communist Party has no problem sending in military and tanks to literally run over you in the middle of the street like a dog. That’s what they think of you and of freedom. I’m surprised we don’t see more people fleeing China showing up at our border craving freedom.
Taiwan acts and operates as a free and independent country with freedoms and liberties. Good for them. China, however, does not recognize their independence. They view them as a part of China and resolves to one day take back control over their island neighbor. They’ll do to Taiwan just what they’ve done to Hong Kong, slowly ratchet back their freedoms and kill the human spirit all the name of absolute power. China has gone so far as to threaten some retaliation if Pelosi visited and one pundit over there actually suggested shooting her plane down! Seriously, the person third in line for the U.S. Presidency. Thankfully they didn’t because that would have likely started World War III. No one wants that. Well, maybe the commies do, they keep antagonizing their neighbors, the U.S. and the rest of the world.
I can’t believe I’m about to say this. PELOSI DID THE RIGHT THING. By stopping by for a visit she showed more balls than any of her peers over the last 30 years. But then again, that’s not too hard considering the far left ignorance the Democrat Party these days. Their “woke” ideology has most of the men who vote for them more concerned about using pronouns and thinking they can get pregnant than actually stopping the violence in their cities and getting our fiscal house in order to help stop this crazy inflation. Perhaps when the men that vote Democrat stop lactating they’ll decide to bring back the old Blue Dog Democrats. That would be very helpful right about now.
What did the commies think was going to happen once they threatened to shoot her plane down? Of course we’re showing up on that island! Of course she’s going to pledge support for Taiwan, even if old man Biden and crew in the White House don’t have the stones to back her play.
I’ve always looked at Pelosi as the wicked witch of the West. Still do! And let’s be honest about her intentions here. Probably part of the trip was for the right reasons. I’ll give her some credit. However, most of the semiconductor chips we buy for use in America are made in Taiwan. Without those we can’t run our laptops, our smart phones, our cars. Basically, those little computer chips are a national security issue and if I had to guess, I’d say that her drunk husband/family has more than a small investment in that sector. As we’ve found out in previous years, our members of Congress actually had loopholes to allow them to get away with insider trading. Probably still do. So her intentions probably weren’t exactly pure during this visit. It was likely a mix of greed and sympathy for the folks living in China’s shadow. They’re good people and they’re an ally. She HAD to make this trip. The Republican leadership in the House and Senate should have grown a pair and went with her.
